Generic Kenmore Tower Filter

I must be an adult now...
You know you are an adult when you FINALLY find a part for your discontinued vacuum cleaner at a good price and become terribly excited when it arrives. You know that bit in The Jerk when Steve Martin jumps up and down like a spaz yelling "The new phone book's here! The new phone book's here!"? That was me when this thing landed on my doormat.

I'm not proud, but there you are.

I have a Kenmore QuickClean, Model 166, and even though it doesn't seem to be listed as compatible with this filter in the product info, it fits and works just fine.

My order included free shipping, so I was able to get it for the same price as they would charge for it at my local Sears... Or the same price I WOULD pay if it weren't for the fact that they're always out of the "Size C" filters they carry because all the really popular models use them.

Come on! Order one. Get excited. You know...

Just a good replacement filter. I simply cleaned the old one out for as long as I could but after a few years it was about time to replace. I read some complaints that this filter did not have the plastic round cover like the old one did. This is because you need to remove the plastic round cover from the bottom of the old filter and put it on the new one. I just used a long screwdriver to knock the old one out from the other side and popped it right into the new one.

It's a filter.
Fits great. Some people didn't realize that you take off the black plastic end cap from your old filter and snap it into the new one. I read where some people complained that it was the wrong filter but it actually is the correct filter, just that you have to swap out the end cap.
