Works like a champ!!!
I bought this icemaker to replace the icemaker that wasn't working in my 2003 side-by-side Frigidaire fridge. It looked the same as the one I had, but it wasn't the same part #, so I took a chance and bought it. IT WORKS GREAT! It took me 2 minutes to remove the old icemaker and install this one (literally). All you have to do is loosen the two screws on the side, lift the icemaker off the screws (brackets on the side) and then unplug the wiring adapter. It really is that simple. This price was a third of what I found elsewhere. If you need a new icemaker...this is one Do It Yourself that you really can do!
Perfect replacement
Easy to install....perfect replacement for our 15 year old ice maker. Just made the connections using the adapter enclosed with the kit-----mounted it onto existing screws inside the freezer----was filling with water within one hour. Thought about troubleshooting parts inside but for [...] bucks and no need to call a plumber, this is a better value!
Not the correct unit
Using the correct model, serial numbers from the Refrigerator and the part number on the factory ice maker this is the unit that was suppose to replace it. Not even close - Wrong side for water inlet, Mounting bracket will not mount correctly. I even tried to change out the motor, timer and switches and use the existing housing and etc. The only thing that would change out is the two switches. Not satisfied.
