West Bend 12-Cup Coffee Maker, White

A quality product at a very good price... no auto off
This coffee maker arrived well packaged and damage free. I really like the sleek look as compared to a Mr. Coffee which seems bulkier and more utilitarian in design.
This item does not work any better than a Mr. Coffee just looks nicer as a full time counter top resident. After all coffee is all about the bean and not the hot water maker.
I have always used a plug in appliance timer for my coffee maker so the lack of an auto off feature is not a problem.

Good coffee
You can't go wrong for the price. Initially I was willing to pay a lot more until I started reading the reviews. I have had this now for over a month, it gets used daily. No problems, easy to use and clean. The coffee taste just as good as the Kuerig (workplace). Save your money.

Works great
Perfect, inexpensive, big container, pours well Why pay $100 when this works just as good, no needless bells and whistles.

Clever Coffee Dripper- (Java)

Simple and it makes GREAT coffee!
I've bought a few french press coffee makers over the years and love them until it's time to clean them. You end up spending more time cleaning that metal mesh than you do drinking the coffee you made with it. This combines the parts of the french press I like (more control over the brewing time, better flavor, variable strength of the brew) and eliminates the mess. Another thing about this device I appreciate is that I can take it to the homes of people that don't drink coffee and make my own there; several members of my family prefer tea but I still love them despite their being wrongly wrong in their wrongness about tea.

I put in a #4 filter, wet it so it stays in place, scoop in the coffee, add the water a bit at a time (get the grounds wet and sit for a few seconds so they won't float to the top as much), wait several minutes and then put the dripper on the mug. There's a recessed plate that the rim of the mug hits that will open the valve at the bottom of the dripper...

Better than the cheap Mr. Coffee drip machine
I've been having a terrible time lately with coffee. I blame my in-laws, who I visited in Germany recently. They had a Bosch coffee machine, well beyond my means (something like 1000 euros!) that made the best coffee. So I came home seriously depressed over the state of our terrible drip coffee, made in a cheap Mr. Coffee machine. (I should say I know this machine sucks, but before that we had a cuisinart that leaked. then a melitta drip machine that made good coffee but broke in 9 months. We have bad luck with machines, and since my husband brought home the Mr. Coffee machine, I've just been using it. He doesn't mind it--he drinks folgers. *shudder*)

I wasn't willing to buy yet another coffee maker that wasn't going to last or work or make good coffee. I pulled out my old french press and started using it, and the upshot was this: I don't like french press coffee. I don't like the grounds that invariably get in there. I don't like cleaning the press. It may be...

Just what I needed.
I have a cabin in the woods with no electricity. This was the perfect solution to making great coffee. The best part of the Clever Coffee Dripper is that you can brew your coffee for as long as you want before pouring it into your cup.

AquaFresh Replacement Refrigerator Filter for Samsung DA29-00003G, 3-Pack

Watch Out!!! - NOT COMPATIBLE with Samsung DA29-0003G
I bought this product after reading the description and a customer reviewing confirming it was compatible with Samsung refrigerators DA29-0003G. The review mentioned it was only of a little different length/size but fit. That was why I placed my order without hesitation but NO!!! watch out. It looks exactly the same but with a tiny difference in the two teeth that have to fit in. They do not fit in and so you will never be able to turn it on to click.... I tried two of the three fitlers I received but they did not fit. I then tried again my old (not original) one and it went perfectly. I tried for a third time this new one but again it was never compatible as claimed in the description by the seller/manifacturer. It will go back and I just ordered a different (MADE IN USA)' filter of only $17.00 named Water Sentinel WSS-1 ..... Best Luck.

great
I use it for my refrigerator and it is much cheaper than the one that came with it and I have extra for when they run out.

They fit better than the ones from the purchase store
After several attempts to find these locally and the ones I did find did not seal properly, thes have worked every time!

KitchenAid KMT222OB 2-Slice Toaster, Onyx Black

Almost perfect
This is a truly great toaster. So far I have toasted store-bought and home made breads (both white and wheat, and yes there is a difference), English muffins, and toaster waffles. I never really thought the "count-down" bar would be of interest to me but I really appreciate it now that I have it - my toast and eggs are always done and hot at the same time. The extra "lift" on the handle is also great for getting to those smaller items (i.e. English muffins) without burning your fingers. If this holds up like the old Toast Master I had, then this will have been a great purchase.

BTW, the only reason I didn't give five stars is because I think it's over-priced; I know that probably 25% of the price is for branding.

UPDATE: We've had this toaster a year now and it's starting to "fade" a bit. It has begun to toast unevenly side-to-side and even up and down. That wouldn't be a HUGE deal after a year, but I paid a LOT of money for this toaster and would have...

No complaints
This toaster has a 1-7 dial, so it's easy to dial in the right darkness after one or two tries. It's been very consistent, and the defrost, reheat, bagel buttons definitely make a difference for their respective functions. The display also has several tick marks along the bottom, which disappear one by one allowing you to see how much longer you have until it's finished. My only tiny tiny complaint is that when the timer finishes, it beeps 3 times before popping up. As someone who's never far from the kitchen when the toaster is on, it's a little annoying to hear that every time. I imagine others might like that feature though. I've always just purchased cheap toasters in the past, but am really happy I finally bought one that is sturdy feeling, works consistently, and looks nice too.

Not so hot for a KitchenAid product
This toaster was a disappointment to us. What looks like a count down timer, does NOT actually show the time.
It only shows a number and the bars go down as the toasting continues so you have no idea on actual time left.
When it is done toasting it has a very LOUD alarm that sounds to let you (and the neighbors!) know the toast is
done. Typically it is done unevenly and one side or one end is more toasted than another. Not what we wanted
or expected.

Aroma AAP-340SB Hot Water Central 4-Quart Air Pot/Water Heater, Stainless Steel

Great water heater! Definitely recommend.
I wanted a reasonably priced water heater that also provides nice functions. I was a little worried after reading the first review about the burn marks, but to my surprise it has gotten great reviews elsewhere, so I decided to give it a try.

Funny that when I received the package I was deliberately looking out for signs of previous usage or burn marks. But it was brand new. Shiny stainless steel tank. Now it has worked perfectly for me for about a month, no any marks whatsoever. I feel it is a good idea to provide this review, so people don't just walk away from this nice water heater and possibly go for something more expensive but inferior.

I did realize that there is a stainless steel exterior version of this heater and tend to be about 10-15 dollars more expensive than this one. But if you check the manufacturer's website, both versions are priced almost the same. So you are spending extra for the look.

Other pros than the product description you...

Aroma 4 Quart Hot Water Central
This product came looking totaly diff from the picture here in Amazon (I did post some actual picture of the product) but manage to be a wonderfull suprice for me. I totaly love the stainless steal version of this product it gives it a more modern look to it now for the pro & cons.

PROS:
- Products seems to be well build and feels solid wont be supprice if this one last as long or longer than my old one which is around 3 years.
- Come with great instruction one that actually make sence. And I know you know what I'm talking about.
- Energy saver features of this product is great I can time it to switch off at night and by the next morning you got hot water waiting for you knowing the unit is not eating up electricity all through the night.
- Safety features of this product is great for family who have kids around. (the unit wont dispence hot water unless electronically unlock first.
- 3 way to dispence hot water, including a manual one which is great...

Great except for One Major Flaw...
I loved everything about this appliance, except it doesn't have auto shutoff on low water level. If you don't check the water level (which is a screwy arrangement of diagonal lines) and try to dispense when the level is too low, it will sputter out. Then, if you don't turn it off right away (even the time it takes to go grab more water), it will overheat and damage the thermostat. I also got that information from Aroma's customer service line (known problem). Other heaters on this site have this feature. And it will be inevitable that it will happen sooner or later to you with this appliance.

Fahrenheat LFP6152 Portable Electric Hydronic Heater, 750 to 1500-watt

Design Flaw
The heater worked fine for a couple of years, then the power switch melted. I replaced the power switch with one having a higher current rating (30A vice 20A) and after a few weeks the unit began to emit a burning electrical smell. I disassembled it and found the Diode Assembly MELTED! A search on the net revealed that this is a common problem. Fahrenheat knows about the problem and even has a repair kit (DB Kit) for $36. The diode alone cost $10, plus $10 shipping. This is a $3 part if you know the specs.

If you buy one of these be aware of the potential DANGEROUS failures. I don't know how UL ever passed this product. It could be a fire hazard. If you don't believe me GOOGLE "Fahrenheat LFP6152 Diode." The fact that Fahrenheat knows about this problem to the point of developing an overpriced repair kit, and doesn't make it right, is inexcusable. I'll never buy another Fahrenheat product.

Good Energy Efficient Zone Heating
We use these heaters as a source of energy efficient heating for over 4 years now at our inn. They have an adjustable feature that supplies electricity to the silicone filled element to produce heat and then cut off the power when the silicone fluid gets hot. This feature saves energy. We also benefit from only heating those areas we want to keep warm by using zone versus central heat.

We bought them to reduce our usage of the central propane hot air furnace and have saved money by only heating areas needed and reducing propane usage.

They also help keep our yurts comfortable in the winter.

Fahrenheat Heater #LFP6152
This heater works well for the 10x15 room which we use it in. It automatically adjusts the dual stage power to maintain the desired temperature. We're very pleased with its performance and its very reasonable price.

GOLDA INC. Stainless Steel Turkish Tea Maker, Samovar, Electric Kettle, with Boil-Dry Protection

Works as advertised and so far 7 family members/friends have bought after seeing ours
I had been looking for something like this for a while, i.e. benefits of electric kettle which is way faster but ability to be able to have constantly boiling water that helps making tea samovar style. Its been working great and overall very happy with it.

perfect for Turkish style tea & well BUILT!!!!
I got the Samovar that is GTK-001S , which is the one with the stainless pot on top - just a note for those looking at them.

The pot heats quickly and switches to keep it warm (low boil) after it has reached full boil. I love having a strong tea steep in the top pot and let the steam keep it warm. Then pour half into my tulip glass, then half hot water - or however much you like - depends on how strong you like your tea. Top pot comes with metal mesh filter as well and is solid. Everything is really solid.

Note: If you do not have the pot on top or a lid on the first large pot - it will not switch automatically from full boil to low boil (warmer) this is not a defect - its just that steam from the boil hits the lid and activates the switch to turn off.

I really do like this set up , everything is stainless and well built- nothing cheap about it at all. Well BUILT!

Fantastic Product!
Fantastic product. I don't usually rate products but this one is too awesome not to. If you're looking for a modern Turkish tea kettle get this! It's beautifully designed, boils the water very quickly, automatically turns off once boiled, and comes with two tops (one see through and one solid stainless steel).

Honeywell 3-Speed Personal Tabletop Fan, HT-1209

very nice fan
i found this fan to be very nice for the uses i had planned for it. snap the bottom into place and then screw the tiny metal screw into the small hole in the base. the rest is just snapping or sliding the pieces together and tightening them. yes you do have to put it all together because it comes in pieces. but i put it together in just a few minutes and it was okay. no problem. very easy to do. to me it is very important that it uses .3 amps of power so it is economical. it blows a lot of air too. i really like it a lot. it oscillates from side to side or stays in place. you can pick either option you want. it tilts up and down with its adjustment. i am very happy with this purchase. i have it on low and it is doing great for me.

Great product!
This is a great fan! Very quiet, looks nice, and I would recommend this to a friend in the future.

Nice and quiet!
Delivered quickly. Easy to assemble. Quiet! My office is incredibly hot sometimes. Can't make 16 women happy in any office environment, apparently. I had one of those mini-size personal fans. Noisy little piece of crud. And, not enough to get the job done. This Honeywell does the job. I am no longer crabby because of heat. Now it's the other 15 women in my office who make me crabby. Good fan. I recommend.

DeLonghi BCO120T Combination Coffee/Espresso Machine

DO NOT BUY
I received this machine as a christmas gift, I like having the option to make expresso/cappacino but it just didn't work well from the start. It leaked water from the bottom and now it has just stopped working. This is my second Delonghi that stopped working after about 8 months of ownership.

not worth the money
I purchased this item April 27th - the espresso portion never worked right - the temperature of the espresso was lukewarm at best. The coffee maker worked fine until about a week ago. Now the coffee maker has stopped working completely after less than 90 days!

Wonderful machine until it stops working.
This was a wonderful machine at first. Then I slowly started seeing water on the counter...then on the floor. Now it just stopped working after 3 months. Not worth wasting the money on this. Their customer service was worthless and they have very limited repair facilities.

OceanAire HPQ15-M Warmwave Oscillating Tower Ceramic Heater

Nice quiet heater
I bought this heater for my 89 yr old mother, who is always cold when she visits Colorado from her home in Florida. It was bigger than I planned on buying, but is extremely quiet! It also has a thermostat so it turns off when it gets warm enough in her bedroom. She could leave it on overnight without worrying about it getting too hot in her small room while she was sleeping. She was delighted with it.

Great Little Unit
Bought this 3 years ago for my baby's room. (the coldest room in the house) It worked great, stores well and this is the 3 winter of using it and it still works great. I am buying another one for my daughter in her basement room. It does well at heating up the whole room (bedroom) I have not used this in bigger open rooms to see how it works however it works great for smaller rooms, has the auto shut off when tipped, and also has the temp control, and shuts off when room is warm. Love this heater!

Don't Buy
I bought one of these last winter. It worked for a few months, and then I put it back in the box for storage over the summer. I brought it back out last week and not only has the "auto shut off if tipped" feature no longer working, it smells horrible (like burning plastic).

This thing is shoddy, cheaply made and dangerous. Do not buy.

Frigidaire 154556101 Basket for Dish Washer

It works
Doesn't fit perfectly in my dishwasher, although this was the suggested basket for it. When we moved in there was no basket at all, so maybe I just ordered the wrong one. It works.

This is a countertop basket
I keep the everyday silverware on the countertop, and this plastic basket is much better than the wire ones I used to have. The compartments are well separated, all the utensils have their own place, the basket drains perfectly onto a long tray it sits on, and it is gentle on the knives. Love it!

Bought to replace a Kenmore basket
This was cheaper to buy then the right one for my dishwasher. It doesn't take up the whole side of the main washing basket, but that is ok, I can deal with that since it was half the price of the correct part. Otherwise it works and is holding up better then the original.

Great microwave
I owned this in white but due to our mistake we killed it.I was happy to find same one in black. It works great, bakes 2 potatoes in less then 8 minutes. This is a good size for my needs, I have had no problems with this band at all.

Used in many hotels, never an issue

Lasko 6251 Electronic Fan-Forced Heater with Warm Air Motion Technology

Best space heater I've owned, and I've owned A LOT of them!
This space heater is by far the best I have owned. My office is in the basement in a 17' x 11' room. There is no heat in the room, and it gets very cold. Over the past 20 years, I have owned an assortment of space heaters, but none have come close to this one. To test the space heaters, I time how long it takes to heat the room using an atomic clock that also includes the room temperature. It was 48 degrees in the office this morning. It is now 65 degrees after an hour and ten minutes. This fan-forced heater increased the temperature dramatically. To test it further, we brought the heater to our master bedroom, which is 24' x 24'. The temperature was 58 degrees when we started it here at 8:00 last night. By 10:00 it was 65 degrees in the room. We couldn't believe it. We also own Lasko oscillating fans that absolutely blow away the competition. They have a wider blade span and produce what feels like twice the breeze. We are going to purchase a couple more of these space...

Works for 10 minutes at a time, then has to be reset.
I bought this about four months ago to keep me warm while I work in my home office. It worked great for the first two months. Then, about once in every 6 or 8 hours, it would suddenly turn off. Following the instructions that are printed on the back, I would reset it by unplugging it, waiting 10 minutes, and then turning it back on. Then it would run for another 6 or 8 hours.

However, about a month ago the time between resets became shorter and shorter, until finally it reached the point where it would only run for 10 minutes before needing another 10-minute reset. That's such a hassle that I've pretty much quit using it.

It's not completely dead. When it's plugged in, the red power light is glowing. And, as noted, it will run -- and heat -- for about 10 minutes before shutting off.

I see where a couple of reviewers had units that went completely dead. But I'm wondering if anyone else has had the problem I'm having, and if there is any solution (short...

Heck of a little heater
I found the Lasko 6251 while looking for a small space heater. The idea was to heat the area around by more immediate work area while turning down the thermostat for the rest of the shop. I didn't want an oscillating heater, just a small and more focused unit. The Lasco is small and stays out of the way. It has a clean appearance and it is quiet. There is control of temperature and fan speed and a timer can be set for folks like me who leave and forget to turn the heater off.

The unit puts out a lot of heated air volume, even when the unit is set to low speed fan. Air flow direction is set with a small lever that controls louvers positioned in front of the heated air outlet. I have my heater in my Maine workshop set to the lowest setting and lowest fan speed and that is enough for me to work in short sleeves. Finally, great price.

Sharp R-820JS 0.9-Cubic Foot Grill 2 Convection Microwave, Silver

Extremely versatile
I acquired this microwave when I was moving to a flat with limited kitchen space, and my primary reason for the choice was that the Sharp model was multi-functional. Since I've begun using it, I happily have ceased to sing a requiem for the toaster oven, separate grill, and other items I was 'consolidating' in this purchase.

I have used the Sharp microwave for grilling and roasting, as well as normal microwave functions, and the results are better than I could have expected. Grilled and roasted foods are extremely tender and juicy - at least of the quality one could expect from a conventional oven. I have had similar success with cooking vegetables.

Reheating muffins and breads has amazing results - they seem fresh baked and, unlike breads normally heated in a microwave, do not harden in a minute. I have used the convection feature for preparing breads, and had especially stunning results with preparing a frozen chicken pie. I suppose the surrounding air from the...

After 1 year, it's become the best kitchen tool I own!
When my old (22 years) microwave died, I could've replaced it with another, especially since they'd gone 'way down in price/watt. But I'd used a convection oven (which went with my ex-wife), and I really wanted my own. I found the Sharp Grill-2 Convection, among others, but decided to purchase it mainly because of Sharp's overall good reputation. It offered a powerful microwave, a convection oven (cooking with super-heated air), and a grill to brown the outside of whatever I was cooking. I should've bought a lottery ticket that day! It has turned out to be the most useful, if not most often used, tool in my kitchen (and I have just about all of them!).

I wanted to write a glowing review the first week I had it, but knowning how first impressions can be misleading, I've waited until now, about a year later. The other reviews I've read here are accurate about the its uses and functions, so I won't bore you further. What I will say is that from warming a cooled cup of...

NIce. Really nice.
First let me say that I got a killer deal right here on Amazon. I paid $204 with shipping included. The unit arrived in tact although the box was a little beat up. So much so that I had to unpack it outside. Now onto the review. The unit is very heavy and well constructed. The majority of the weight comes from what appears to be a commercial grade convection motor. I lugged the unit inside and put it on a utility cart with the back facing a window. I unpacked the contents, which were securely stowed inside the unit. Contents included a porcelain coated turntable, rotary mechanism for the turntable and a circular raised rack for grilling. I plugged it in and it immediately displayed instructions on how to set the clock. That was cake so now it was time to cook something! Despite what others may say, you do have to read the manual to do just about anything (except setting the clock) because the unit uses special codes for different foods, i.e 1 for pork, 2 for chicken, 3 for humans and...

Waring WO50 Cordless Wine Opener

don't let the battery die
This works very well. I got a Rabbit at the same time and used this more. It really is effort free. That said it does have a significant design flaw. If you let the battery die (drop below 2V) it will not recharge. This is what Waring told me. Since it is still under warranty they will replace it, and they now recommend keeping it on the charger when not in use. If they fix this stupid design flaw I would give it 5 stars.

Cool Tool
This is the next best thing to sliced bread! We've had ours for about a month now and open wine every evening to have with dinner. I was successful the very first time I used it, and I've never looked back! One literally holds it vertically on top of a bottle of wine, after using the handing foil cutter that comes with it, push down gently to make sure the bottle neck is seated in the opener, push the "down" arrow and wait until its quiet whirring stops. Presto! The cork is gone. Push the up arrow while holding your hand under the device and the cork is released into your hand. I love the this item. We have not had to recharge it since we got it. The box says it will open 80 bottles without a recharge, and I believe it! You won't be sorry if you buy it-good price here at Amazon too!

Pros and cons
I purchased this for professional use at a tasting bar. I open dozens to hundreds of bottles each week, and have sustained a fairly serious repetitive stress injury to one of my wrists as a result. This bottle opener does alleviate much of the stress on wrists and forearms that do a lot of twisting (dominant hand) or clamping (non-dominant hand.) It's also compact, lightweight, and easy enough to keep charging if you have an electrical outlet behind your bar. The included foil cutter easily makes a nice, clean cut all the way around. The action of the mechanism is quite simple and very cool: when it works, it's fast and easy to use.

There is, unfortunately, one thing this product is not: reliable. Customers love it, but I no longer open bottles in front of them, because if you do not get the machine aligned EXACTLY with the cork, it will not work. It will, instead, chew up your cork, get itself stuck in the neck of the bottle, and require you to use your handy...

Air Conditioning Window Unit Light Duty Support Bracket - up to 80 Pounds

Likely not to fit your window
The nice thing about this bracket is you can install it from inside without getting on a ladder.
The bad thing: It probably won't fit on your window.

The design requires that you have a window sill (not all windows have one) which extends for a certain length - not too much or too little from your outside wall. It also requires that your window not extend to high above the sill (vinyl windows have a border which seems to be too high).
You will be able to install the bracket. The problem is, the hinged support underneath won't reach your outside wall. Or, if it does, the angle will be too shallow to provide adequate support. Or you may get lucky.
I bought two of these and it wouldn't fit properly on either apartment where I tried to install it. (the fit is hard to explain, which is probably why they didn't).
They tried to make it adjustable. There are plastic spacers and multiple screw holes. They just did a poor job.

Does your window have a sill?
Won't work with flush mounted windows unless you place a ledger outside and notch it to seat the cross piece. The design of this brace assumes the window has a sill. Once installed, it works but for windows without a sill be prepared with some tools, i.e., tape, power saw, and drill.

NYC requirement - installs a bit different that the instructions say
I purchased this after moving to NYC in what turned out to be a blazing hot summer. I had no previous knowledge of these devices, but not wanting to disregard local laws (and more importantly, get in trouble with our building super) I went ahead and ordered one to keep in full compliance.

My first, second, and third attempts to install this were a dud. Pre-war Manhattan apartments, as it turns out, have very thick walls and deep window sill preventing any sort of installation that looks like what is pictured in the instructions. My first two attempts left the unit leaning into our apartment which I knew would mean the condensation would be joining us inside as well. The third attempt achieved the right slope, but left the A/C unit about 1.5 inches above the lip of the window frame (and leaving me with a lot of left open space to block.

Finally, I called a local handy man, and he shifted it further down the sill, away from the lip of the window sill that the...

Hunter 25517 Summer Breeze 52-Inch 5-Blade Ceiling Fan, White with White/Bleached Oak Blades

Great quiet fan with innocuous looks
I bought this fan for my living room. I wanted something that would blend into the ceiling because the other colors and lights in the living room were already "obvious". I'm using this with the white side of the blades down and a 3-speed in-wall control with no light kit and no chains hanging down from the fan.

The fan is fantastic--I've had it for about 4 months and it's completely silent, even on the high setting. It has no hint of wobble and mounts relatively close to the ceiling, unlike some other fans that have a bit more of a drop rod.

I bought 5 new ceiling fans this year, so I have something to compare this too and I love this fan, especially for the low price.

Quality built and quiet
Very impressed with this fan. Installed yesterday in my bedroom. Some fans hum when powered on. This is quiet. The fan does not wobble on the highest speed. Have a Hampton Bay in a different room. It wobbles and hums.
Will only buy Hunter brand ceiling fans in the future.

Great Fan
I bought this fan because I already have one of this model and like it.Its simple, trouble free, easy to install and moves air.If thats what you want, not a lot of extras, this is the fan for you.

I live in Chicago where the winters get very cold and very dry. I finally decided to do something about it a year ago and bought a humidifier. I went through a series of 5 humidifiers before I finally came across the Vornado Ultrasonic, which has been the best by far.

I started with a cheap Holmes humidifier that basically boils water and creates steam. The problem is that the heating element gets caked with residue and needs to be cleaned just about every other day and it's very difficult to clean. It also tends to give off a rather bad odor.

After returning the holmes, I purchased a Vornado evaporative humidifier. What I've found is that evaporative humidifiers simply don't create enough moisture. The first Vornado was a bust.

My next attempt was a Sharper Image Ultrasonic humidifier, which is very simple to use, easy to clean and provides a good deal of moisture. Unfortunately, much of the moisture simply falls to the ground right around the...

Works great but difficult maintenance
The Vornado whole room ultrasonic humidifier works great. It is cheaper than the Air O Swiss and is quieter. Maintenance is a problem. The manual calls for a weekly time consuming ritual. Scraping off the mineral build-up is a chore. Finding a mineral replacement cartridge is difficult. I will probably try another product next year.

Works well until it leaks all over your floor
We've tried a few different humidifiers and found that most of them break quickly, are loud, or have some other problem. This Vornado unit at first seemed perfect. It was quiet, did a good job of humidifying a large area and had a good filter that prevented mineral dust from building up in the room. However, after about a month it would randomly start leaking all of its water out. Vornado replaced that unit under warranty with a new unit and the same thing started happening after a month or two.

BiWIN - Camo Hand Grenade Shape with Pin Handle 3 Pieces Magnetic Herbal Spice Grinder Pollen Sifter, herb grinder, Come with FREE KEYCHAIN/BOTTLE OPENER

Cool novelty grinder
My friends always wanted to play with my grinder. My only problem with it was the pollen catcher. it was located flush up against the top grinding piece so all of your herb is stuck in the lid and you have to dump it on a surface when youre done grinding. the pollen catcher is quite useless. I took out the screen and used it as a grinder with an herb catching chamber. The novelty was worth the trade off. But it got TAKEN! the cops thought it was cool too.

Cool
The grenade had a magnet that was a little weak and the herb tray is sometimes hard to screw back on. otherwise this grinder grinds up herb super fine and looks neat!

novelty present
works for a present for guy who cooks and has everything or a gag host gift! a little small containment for the end ground up stuff

Mr. Heater 10,000 BTU Propane Radiant Vent Free Heater #VF10KRADLP

Shutoff valve unreliable
This heater operates as advertised if the thermocouple-secured shutoff valve allows the flame to turn on. It takes a lot of fiddling with the shutoff valve to turn to the two 'on' positions even after the pilot has been lit for 15 min. The pilot alignment appears to be as shown on the instruction manual. I find this difficult lighting to be a nuisance.

Mr. Heater 10,000 BTU Propane Radiant Vent Free Heater #VF10KRADLP
I have used the heater once and it works great so far. I had no problem with fumes as I used it in a well ventilated trailer.

mr heater 10,000 btu
works pretty good, the control knob is a pain to operate, and sometimes heater is hard to ignite.but once you get it going it works pretty well

Breville RM-BJE820XL Certified Remanufactured Juice Fountain Duo Electric Juicer

Champion speed juicer
On day 6 of juice fast -- all juice, all the time. This machine is speedy, cleans up quick...thrilld with purchase. It gobbles down everything we throw at it, including kale, which some juicers have a hard time with. To ease cleanup, keep the pulp bin lined (we use a plastic grocery bag)...and then wash everything immediately after use.

Couldn't tell it was remanufactured.

If I run into problems, I will update this review.

Juices well and is easy to clean...
Very happy with the juicer.
Does what it was bought to do.
Juices well...is easy to operate and takes only 5 or so minutes to clean.

I bought the model with the 'puree' feature but I doubt if I would ever use it.
I juice everyday and my energy levels have inccreased dramatically.

I bought this juicer after watching www.fatsickandnearlydead.com
If you have been 'umming and ahhhming' about juicing...watch this movie and all of your doubts will be gone.
You will love the benefits that 'juicing' brings...and this juicer will take the worry out of whether you are getting the maximum juice from your fruits and vegetables.

Breville Juicer
I have used this juicer almost every day since it arrived over a month ago. It works very well and it is a breeze to clean up. I couldn't be happier! Well, I guess I'd be a little happier if it cleaned its self!

General Electric WB32X10013 8-Inch Drip Pan

Replaced Drip Bowl
I choose this bowl from Amazon as, with shipping, it was much cheaper than those available locally, of better quality (GE Brand) and I didn't have to go out and look for one. I would recommend replacing old rusted and blacken rings with new ones which can be periodically cleaned in a dishwasher

General Electric WB32X10012 6-Inch Drip Pan
We have an old General Electric stove from the 1950's at our cottage.
I could not find this drip pan at any of our local stores. This was exactly
what I was looking for.

WARNING Wrong size. 8.5" actual size
I ordered these to replace my current drip pans. These would not fit in the space because they measure 8.5" .

I would not recommend this product if your opening size is actually 8.0" like mine is.

NEW Dirt Devil Belt Style #5 -2 pk (Kitchen & Housewares)

actually 4/5
I specifically was shopping for a #5, but what I got was 4/5s which is slightly longer and also wider.

Good Value
Just what I was looking for. I'm glad it came in a two pack. So I have one for future use.

As a good a vacuum cleaner belt gets, I guess.
Well, they did their job, I got a 4/5 style instead of 5 but the belts worked regardless. Needed to replace a broken belt on a vacuum.

KitchenAid KMT223CU 2-Slice Toaster, Countour Silver

Uneven toast - loud annoying beeps
I exchanged this toaster after 4 days of ownership. I'm going to break it down in 3 brief statements.

- Appearance is very good. Nice exterior design, easy to use controls. Very smooth lowering and raising action of the food.

- Beeps once when you push "toast" and beeps 3 times when your toast is done. The beep has an ear piercing characteristic and is way too loud for me. Reminds me of a smoke detector going off. The best feature on my microwave is silent mode - I can turn off all beeping. I wish this toaster could do that.

- English muffins went in first and turned out nice! I used the regular toast cycle and I was pleased with my new toaster (provided I would be able to hack into it to eliminate or muffle the beeping). The true test was regular whole wheat sandwich bread on a regular toast cycle (not bagel). Disaster. One side of the toast was well done and the other side was rare. I did this test twice, once in each slot, and I got the...

Excellent quality but that loud buzzer....
After trying several toasters during the past years, I can say this toaster is really close to the perfection. you get 7 different levels for toasting and even at the maximum, it will not burn your toasts but the 3 beeps at the end was driving me crazy. So, I decided to open the toaster to disable that buzzer.

The "guilty" beep is called ATT-1205, it's a magnetic buzzer. It has 85dba output but I believe the real problem is the high frequency combined with the dba. That magnetic buzzer should be correct in a smoke alarm, it's a bit surprising it's inside a toaster. You can see the specs and picture here:
[...]

1. To open the toaster, you will need 2 different screwdrivers. One is standard but the second one is called "snake eyes". I had this in my computer kit but I guess you can find it on the net. Make sure you take a long and thin screwdriver otherwise it will not fit.

2. So here we go, unplug the toaster and then remove the 10 screws all on...

Great toaster...give me a break with the loud beeping!!!
Buy this toaster. It is very good, it does what it was designed to do, with extreme ease - push button technology, what else do you want? Oh, regarding the loud beeping....come on people! This is not louder than a regular alarm clock. I prefer the loud beep, as I I sit about 150 feet from the toaster - reading the news on my MacPro - when the beep goes off I can hear hear it very clear and I just get up and go to the kitchen to fix my sandwich or buttered toast. Compared to the other options, this is the best choice - best bang for the buck!

Sears Kenmore Humidifier Wick Filter Replacement,42-14906

A Good Product
This review is for a filter element that goes inside of a humidifier.

Calling it a filter is a little misleading, as it really doesn't filter the air or the water. It really works as a tall supported sponge, to hold water within it and draw air through it. The air that is forced through the filter (which is essentially sitting in a tray of water) becomes saturated with the water, thus adding humidity to the air in your house.

This is an aftermarket filter, since Kenmore is the manufacturer of the humidifier.

There are a few minor distinctions between the "Sears" filter and this aftermarket filter, but nothing that would keep me from buying it. For example, the "Kenmore" brand filter has clips or tape strips to keep the filter in a circle shape, when it is in the humidifier. The presumption being that the soggy filter might slump over or something. No worries. The filter is reinforced with suitable materials to keep it from losing its shape...

Get the real Sears filter
I have been using these Sears humidifiers for years, first the smaller one, which I think they stopped selling, and now the larger one. I purchased the Best Air filters for my small one, and they did not last very long. That humidifier has also stopped working. It was impossible to clean or vacuum the inside of it.

For my present humidifier, I am using the Sears brand only. I am getting about a month's use from the Sears brand before I have to change it. I am using water from a carbon block undersink water filter since it makes my regular water a lot softer. This also prolongs the life of the filter and makes for easier cleaning of the water containing base. No hard water deposits.

The real Sears filter, by the way, contains anti-microbial chemicals so your water or the filter does not smell bad (no mold, mildew or bacteria building up - no legionnaires disease!). No odors from this humidifier like I got with the smaller one using Best Air filters.

I...

short life span
I should have paid attention to the other reviews. Stopped wicking water after 2 weeks. A universal filter from Home Depot, though a bit short, has worked much, much better for same price.

Cuisinart DGB-650BC Grind & Breww Thermal 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker Refurbished + 2-Pack Coffee Mug & Iced Beverage Cup + Accessory Kit

Cuisinart DGB-650BC Grind & Brew
Looks and works just like a new one. This is the 3rd refurbished one I've had. They last as long as a new one besides they have had the human touch to make them work even better than new. I'm not a tightwad but I am frugal plus I know a deal when I see one.
Thanks

Every morning is a joy with this coffeemaker
This is my third Cuisinart Grind and Brew (they last about 5 years), and the design improvements on this one make it the best yet. I love that I put whole beans and water in at night and I come downstairs to freshly ground coffee. I notice on this one is far more quiet than past models(I used to wake up to the sound of a jet landing on my house: now I seem to mostly sleep through it) and much easier to clean (the last one died on my when I could no longer removed the grind cup to clean). I highly recommend this product if you like a good cup of coffee.

Best Coffee Maker We Have Had In Years!!!!!!!
This refurbished coffee maker came packed in the original box with the original packing. It was found to be in perfect working order. I missed the part where it said it did not come with the gold filter but that was my fault not the seller. This coffee maker makes a good cup of coffee and brews in 9-10 minutes for a full pot. We are very happy with this purchase and the seller shipped FAST. Thanks

Gasket Problem
The problem was the filter itself. The gasket around the top of the filter was too big. It didn't fit and caused a major leak out of the fridge, and even made it down to the lower level making a very big mess. I replaced the gasket with the one around the old filter and its working ok now, although the water doesn't really taste very good, but maybe that will go away.

Perfect Fit
great price, about half the cost of replacement in local store, just what I needed as replacement for my samsung frig, will puchase again

Fridge Filter
So far it works great and I saved a few bucks in the process. The filter fits perfectly in my Samsung fridge and it was shipped to me in a timely manner.

PEM31DMWW%2D Profile Spacemaker II%2DCountertop Microwave Oven %2D White

Second time around
We replaced our 15 year old GE Profile Spacemaker with a new updated GEProfile Spacemaker Microwave Oven. It is basically the same one with big subtle improvements. I am probably the only one who used the old microwave with all of
its bells and whistles. I am amazed at how updated these items are today.
Forinstance to cook fresh vegetables just load them in and push the veggie button.
Somehow it senses when they are cooked to perfection and not rubber. I cooked a
perfect scrambeled egg in one minute, stirring once.

We oredered the undermount hardware just because. Guess what? Since we replaced
the identical microwave the old mount fit perfectly. Oh well.

I really would have loved it in stainless steel but didn't see it offered.

I do hope this gives us another 15 years but at that price I am not too worried
about the track record. The first GE over the stove microwave I bought 30 years
ago was $600!

Best Value for its Size, But It Can Die
This GE model gave us the most cooking power, ease of operation and reliability for its size and price. When we were remodeling our kitchen, choosing this model gave us enough extra space to have our carpenter create a storage niche for baking trays. Amazon got it to us in a couple of days when, amazingly, no local dealer had it in stock.

TWO YEARS UPDATE, 11/11/10: Heating one cup of tea too many, it made a sickening stink because it was burning internally. We had to take it outside right away because of the smell. But it's such a good machine, and it fits our space that was customized for it, we ordered another one from Amazon.

Don't buy GE microwaves
When the magnetron goes (common problem for GE microwaves) they won't send a replacement even though it comes with a 10 year warranty - they will send a tech out and charge you about $175 to install the free part - which may last the 13 months that ours did.

Generic Kenmore Tower Filter

I must be an adult now...
You know you are an adult when you FINALLY find a part for your discontinued vacuum cleaner at a good price and become terribly excited when it arrives. You know that bit in The Jerk when Steve Martin jumps up and down like a spaz yelling "The new phone book's here! The new phone book's here!"? That was me when this thing landed on my doormat.

I'm not proud, but there you are.

I have a Kenmore QuickClean, Model 166, and even though it doesn't seem to be listed as compatible with this filter in the product info, it fits and works just fine.

My order included free shipping, so I was able to get it for the same price as they would charge for it at my local Sears... Or the same price I WOULD pay if it weren't for the fact that they're always out of the "Size C" filters they carry because all the really popular models use them.

Come on! Order one. Get excited. You know...

Like the original
Just a good replacement filter. I simply cleaned the old one out for as long as I could but after a few years it was about time to replace. I read some complaints that this filter did not have the plastic round cover like the old one did. This is because you need to remove the plastic round cover from the bottom of the old filter and put it on the new one. I just used a long screwdriver to knock the old one out from the other side and popped it right into the new one.

It's a filter.
Fits great. Some people didn't realize that you take off the black plastic end cap from your old filter and snap it into the new one. I read where some people complained that it was the wrong filter but it actually is the correct filter, just that you have to swap out the end cap.

Capresso Water Kettle H2O Pro, Stainless Steel/Polished Chrome, 56-Ounce

Precise temperatures!
After seeing warnings against another variable temperature kettle (branded by a major tea vendor) that's totally hit-or-miss by 20 degrees, I was cautiously hopeful that Capresso's H2O Pro would avoid that problem.

When this kettle arrived, I decided to play the skeptic and put to test it. Would it really hit 140F on the dot? Just a little above/below? A lot?

After a short brew time, *two* other thermometers (one analog, one digital) agreed with the kettle: 140.0F on the dot!

This is one excellently designed variable-temperature kettle! This kettle has now brought about more casual tea drinking. No more do I have to watch a stove or electric kettle like a hawk and stop it at the right temperature!

Temperatures are programmable in 10F increments from 110F (warm on the wrist) to 212F (boiling). I like to make tea with 140F (a bit over scalding) as I use plenty of Japanese green tea that is temperature-sensitive. And I love how it can...

Expensive gimmick that does not work well
We bought this kettle to replace an earlier Capresso kettle that had provided years of good service. Don't make the same mistake. Yes it looks good and it boils water but the thermostat is not calibrated correctly and it is not sensitive enough. It sometimes takes up to 40 seconds to switch off after it has boiled even though it is set for the minimum time. This means you either have steamed up walls or you have to watch while it boils and switch off manually. Not impressed
Now three weeks later the whole lid assembley has fallen apart. This kettle is very cheaply made. I am surprised that Jura, one of Switzerlands top companies in this field, is prepared to put their name on such an inferior product.
To bring the tale of woe up to date it is now july 31st and we are looking at our second broken kettle. Capresso replaced the first one with no hassle. The replacement worked fine for ten days until the lid mechanism broke again. This definitely is a "piece of junk"

Good for tea
I use this everyday but there are 2 things I wish it had - the temperatures only increase/decrease by 10 degrees, I would prefer 5 but this is ok. I really wish a timer or alert would go off when the correct temperature is reached. But I do use it everyday and it heats up water fast.

KRUPS KM730D50 Breakfast Set 12-cup Glass Carafe Coffee Maker with Brushed and Chrome Stainless Steel Housing, Stainless Steel

The (mostly) good, the bad, and the ugly...
The mostly good:

Nice looks. I like the mostly stainless steel housing, and actually like that Krups changed the top from stainless steel to plastic on this model since I have a tendency to set stuff on top of my coffee maker on occasion and the steel would get little scratches in it due to my bad habit.

Easy to use...but what drip coffee maker isn't?

Makes good drip coffee. I drink a lot of espresso and, no, this drip coffee doesn't compare to good espresso. It is quite drinkable, though, particularly if you use the "Aroma" setting to make a stronger brew.

The bad:

Water reservoir design could be better. It's a fairly thin band that runs from side to side at the top back of the coffee maker. The previous Krups model I used had a slightly larger opening so it was easier to pour water into the reservoir.

Instruction manual could be better written. I know this isn't very important for an item like this, and many...

GET IT
Bought to replace the 10yr old Krups that we loved, and prayed would not die. (Before that we swore by Melita- pre- Hamilton Beach acquisition). I even fixed the old one twice, it made such good coffee, and was so reliable. This one:

1. Faceplate is polished chrome not satin chrome (I would prefer satin- polished shows fingerprints))
2. Best feature: good maybe GREAT coffee, full flavor, HOT but not so hot as to burn the flavor, even 1 hour later. Heating plate temperature is well-engineered (roughly 245 degrees F- only part of this heat gets into the coffee). Hotter than our last, I would say perfect. "Aroma" feature is slower (10 min for 8 cups) but seems to drag every last bit of good flavor (not the bitter) from beans. We use it; don't think it is gimmick.
3. Second-best feature: the warranty is quite good- 2 yrs. So I don't worry about the horror stories that the web attracts
4. Worst feature (to me): gimmicky intrusiveness. Blue...

Easy To Use Coffee Maker
Leave it to me to find this to try the very DAY after buying the Cuisinart DCC-2600 Brew Central 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe.... But after doing so & trying both I have to say, I think probably every drip machine on the market is made at the same factory with not much more than face plate differences? They are essentially identical in feature sets and performance although I AM concerned at all the forum threads about the Cuisinart DCC-1200 Brew Central 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemakers catching fire! Hopefully neither of my 2 NEW coffee makers OR our 20 year old (and still 100% PERFECT) old Braun 12 cup coffee maker will ever fail us in that way.

This is a very simple and intuitive coffee maker. I never read the manual and to be honest, had just made my first EVER cup of coffee (in a drip machine) 4 days earlier when I had my wife train me on our antique Braun. At age 64, I figured it was time. Once I knew how I of course needed something fancy...

This one works. Don't get "aftermarket", get this one.
It ordered an aftermarket version of this hose and got "hosed". I tried all of the suggestions for the aftermarket hose, softening in in warm water, etc... but nothing worked. It popped off the connections and wouldn't let the power head make firm contact with the floor so I sent it back and ordered this item. It arrived yesterday, right on time. I popped it into place and my vacuum performs like new with good firm suction on all floor surfaces. I am delighted!!!

Waring PDM121 Drink Mixer, Ebony

Great kitchen Addition
This solid (and weighty) piece of equipment does a great job of mixing juices with powdered supplements, as well as ice cream drinks, etc. It has a compact triangular footprint (About 7-1/4" X 9" inches at the widest points) and is very stable. It is, however, an extremely tall appliance (18-3/8") which is too tall to fit under some overhead cabinets or on most shelves, so the buyer should check out storage options before purchasing. Although the stainless steel cup is 28 ounces, the maximum fill level is 16 ounces (and minimum is about 4 ounces--smaller quantities would not come in contact with the mixing disk.) This truly is very easy to clean - run with soapy water in the cup to wash and then with fresh water to rinse.

Durability is the key here
I got a deal on this one (clearance) but it's worth the full purchase price. The main thing that sold me was the fact that the whipping blade (agitator) is metal. All the other drink mixers I've seen have a cheap plastic agitator and I've heard stories about them chipping/breaking off which made me very hesitant, even though I've wanted one for a long time. This [one] will not chip or shatter...in fact it did a good job of nicking up my favorite 18/10 stainless steel spoon I was using to stir my first milkshake while it was mixing! It's a solid, well-built addition to your kitchen whether you use it once a month or 10 times a day. (It also looks great next to my KitchenAid mixer.)

Ebony (chrome) looks great; makes perfect protein shakes
I was hesitant about spending over a hundred bucks on a mixer (I just wanted something to make protein shakes), but I'm really glad I got this. It looks great on the counter, is easy to clean, and is a very convenient way to make shakes. Warning: it doesn't crush ice.

Replaces OEM pieces
Our lint filter would not seat correctly and needed to replace it because it was tearing up clothes.
DO NOT just replace one piece - get all three pieces for a proper fit. Most likely the pieces in the dryer have become deformed due to improper seating and heat.
Small price to pay for the three pieces compared to damaging hundreds of dollars worth of clothing!

The pieces needed are:
1) LG - ZENITH MCK49049101 COVER GUIDE OEM ORIGINAL PART
2) LG - ZENITH MEA49050001 GUIDE FILTER OEM ORIGINAL PART
3) LG OEM ADQ56656401 FILTER Assembly,LINT

Bodum 1446-01US4 Latteo Milk Frother with Glass Handle, 8-Ounce

Great froth, but....
This is generally a great product: makes fantastic froth, without any electronics involved. Goes in the microwave, easy to clean, fast to make good creamy froth. Occasionally had a froth "mis-fire" probably because I had not rinsed all the dishsoap out after washing (? who knows?) I loved mine, but... the glass carafe is very prone to breakage! I went through two within 6 months, and I treated it carefully. Both times, I found the carafe broken in the dish drainer... can't tell if it just cracked or if I put something heavy on top of it. Perhaps the daily microwaving of the milk weakened the glass?

For froth-seekers, here's the rest of the story: After the second broken Bodum, I finally decided to splurge and bought an expensive Breville frother. It did not work AT ALL. Sent it back after a week of trying REALLY hard to generate froth, with only a few quickly dissipating bubbles as a result. Don't waste your money there!

But then, I came across the...

Must have for latte lovers!
I've been looking for a simple solution for frothed milk that wasn't plastic, difficult to clean or breakable. I had the whole fancy pants espresso/coffee maker thingy and it was HUGE on my countertop. I don't really need to pressure cook my coffee (eeek sorry people who worship the beans) but I wanted more than warm milk, This frother makes that possible. You just pour a little milk in it, stick it in the microwave, pump for 30-45 seconds and voila! Beautifully frothed warm milk. Use your matching french press with ground espresso for a perfect latte.

The glass on this frother is similar to an everyday wine glass--not very thin but not pyrex thick so use caution setting it on a granite or marble countertop. The handle did not get hot in the microwave and I actually had to use a cooking thermometer to see if the milk was hot enough (which it was). I've been using 2% milk which took a little extra pumping action. I suspect skim would froth easier/faster. If you fill the milk...

Oster FPSTBW8100 Electronic Wine Vacuum Cork with LCD Display, Black

Works as Expected
I purchased this as a gift for my mother. It's a bit of a special purpose item that may not be suitable for everyone. The entire thing is one "cork" and must stay on the wine bottle to function. This was perfect for my mother, as she'll only ever have one wine bottle open at a time. Wine-tasting types, though, would probably prefer one of the more expensive vacuum cork machines that can seal multiple bottles.

The Oster Vacuum Wine Cork seems to work exactly as advertised. The initial use was a little confusing. After installing the two AAA batteries that came in the package, the expectation was that the buttons would do something when pressed, the display would light, or something to indicate that it was "on". On the contrary, nothing will function until the device is actually one the wine bottle (which is actually pretty intelligent in retrospect). Once on the bottle, the top button will initiate the vacuum sequence, which takes approximately 60 seconds to complete (the...

Will work if...
My brother sent me as a gift. It didn't work. I went through three sets of batteries trying everything to get it to do what it says it does. And, yes, I read and reread the instructions. Prior to throwing it away as junk and stop wasting batteries, I decided to tear it apart and see what was inside.
Note: Not for the clumsy of fingers.
I popped off the black top and carefully pried off the silver ring on the bottom and removed a small screw. This exposed the workings inside. With removal of four more small screws, I was able to get to the pump and sealing mechanism. The pump is a small piston that pushes on a small, silicon, two-sided cup which, it turns out has a rough and a smooth side. The rough side was down so I turned it over so the smooth side was down. This made sense to me for keeping a seal on the vacuum that makes the whole thing function. I put it all back together and VOILA! it works as advertised.
It's done a great job keeping leftover wine...

Useless gadget
So far I have tried it on about 6 different 3/4L bottles and it only worked on 2 when the bottle was 3/4 full with liquid.
Further it uses up batteries very quickly. More detailed instructions would be helpful.

KOHLER K-3073-NA Archer Mirrored Cabinet

Great deal for a nice, large cabinet
I am totally thrilled with this purchase. It is exactly what I was looking for: a well-made, large cabinet that is not your standard square, boring model.

I originally found this on another website that specializes in medicine cabinets for a hundred bucks more. I was going to purchase it but then when I found it here for so much less I was really happy. Then it arrived in two days (for FREE with my prime shipping) and I was delighted!

Pros:
* Good size.
* Mirrored on the inside of the door and the inside of the cabinet.
* Price is right.
* Can be installed as right or left side open.
* It can be mounted as a recessed or non-recessed unit.
* Fast, free shipping if you're an Amazon Prime member.

Cons:
* You have to press on the door a little more than I'd like to get it to close all of the way. For the price, though, I don't mind.
* It is a mirror. It shows fingerprints. Again, not a big deal.

Overall, I...

KOHLER K-3073-NA Archer Mirrored Cabinet
Beautiful, functional cabinet but installation not easy for surface mount - parts not well coordinated. Takes patience but will work with a little adjustment.

Beautiful! Great product!
We bought this awhile back and finally reached the point where we could install this in our bathroom renovation. I LOVE IT. It is almost flush with the wall, but you could also install it so that it is not flush. They give you side mirrors that would make installation without flush installation look very classy. Because our bathroom is so small, we really wanted the flush installation.
When you open the door, the entire interior is mirrored. There are two glass shelves, though when you put them in, using the floor of the cabinet, you really have 3 shelves. I put some plastic liner on the bottom shelf, just to protect the metal from rust.
Installation was a breeze, but you have to know how to measure very carefully to make sure it fits and built a box inside the wall where it can sit. Handy hubby did a great job. If I had to do this myself, I would have been able to do a non-flush mount easily, so if you don't want to make a hole in your wall and built a box for it to sit...

Black & Decker 16" 3in1 High Volcity Fan

Best fan for the price
Wanted a METAL fan because i thought it pushed more air. After research i found no advantage in having metal blades versus plastic. I bought the fan anyway due to its height, the 3 in 1 feature, metal base and price. The fan was easy to put together with just a screwdriver. The fan blows a good amount of air which was my main consern. I paid about 45 bucks total with shipping which was a very fair price. The fan would be easy to take apart to clean. I would buy this fan again.

Great Buy, Powerful, Quiet & Versatile
Was Looking for a pedestal/stand fan minimum of 16" blade diameter & of oscillating type. Came across this B&D model along with the 18" version, which was only a couple dollars less than the 16". The fact that it is a convertible model (from pedestal to stand/wall mount) swayed my vote to the 16" model. It is definitely a great value, powerful fan & mostly metal, with the exception of the motor housing, which is plastic. It is easy to assemble, within 10 min. It was out of the box & running in my living room. The only toll required it a Phillips screwdriver.Very satisfied & would definitely recommend this fan. The only negative thing I can say is the MANUFACTURER has insufficient packaging in THEIR box. Nothing was damaged, but the motor portion's shaft was protruding out of the inner box when it arrived.

B & D High Velocity Fan
Unfortunately, the velocity was spelled as "Volcity" but this fan is a winner for summer!! Really high velocity speed! Awesome!

Shark VX3 Cordless Floor-and-Carpet Cleaner, V1950

Have realistic expectations, you won't be as disappointed
Do NOT buy this if you think it will replace your vacuum. I have a 2 year old and a VERY good vacuum on hand that I use once a week (though I probably should vacuum twice a week). For all the messes that occur in between (probably 2-3x a day), I use the Shark to make my life easier.

I'm currently a stay at home mom with a toddler and she leaves crumbs EVERYWHERE. We live in a small apartment, so the dining room is a spit's throw from the living room and it's almost unavoidable to have toddlers (my kid, my kid's friends, my friends' kids...) carrying their muffins, snacks, crackers, pretzels around and about the living area. I got the Shark more because my daughter was terrified of loud sounds and my regular vacuum cleaner, but have found that the nice bonus is that it's so much easier to lug this one out 2-3 times a day to pick up crumbs right after snack time (and hence avoid having it ground into the rugs) than to pull out my heavy Bissell.

Pros: It's...

A Strong Sweeper
The people at Shark and Euro-Pro cleaning companies have always known how to make so many great products with vacuums, and carpet sweepers. Nevertheless, when it comes down to it, it really is on how well the vacuum really lasts. Shark's previous cordless sweepers have all done a great job at picking up after everyday messes, but they have been some glitches. I was honestly very skeptical with the latest model when I saw it on television, and I liked it a lot, but as I started to use it, I was hoping for just a bit more. Here is my verdict.

The Shark VX3 Cordless Sweeper is the latest in Euro-Pro's well-recieved carpet sweeper line. This one does a good job at picking up after pet hair and fuzz, and is very simple to setup. You can pick up actually a lot of pet hair, fuzz, or anything off your floors and carpets. It is easy to charge up, and does really works well. The no-mess dust cup is very simple to clean up, and easily removes all that was picked up from the floors...

Charged properly, and used for the right jobs, it's great
This sweeper is not a substitute for a vacuum cleaner, but it is a fantastic complement to a vacuum. Half the floors in our house are carpeted and the other half are hardwood or tile - I use the regular vacuum for the carpeted areas, but I use the Shark for the hardwood floors, kitchen, and laundry room areas. On the hard surfaces, the Shark is great at picking up dead bugs, bits of cat kibble, cat litter, bits of food, and other visible dirt and particles. I run it over low-pile throw rugs on the higher speed setting and it does okay (throw rugs are always a pain, even with vacuums). I don't really use it on carpets because it's less effective on them.

The fact that it's lightweight and cordless means I'm much more likely to pull it out and run it around a couple of times a week in high-traffic areas, whereas we only vacuum on the weekend. I like the ergonomics - I've never actually used the hinge in the long handle because I'm able to get under furniture just fine...
