How to get the ignitor to work!
Ok. When I received the burner one of these responces was spot on. Does fit loosely. Does not twist and turn and locks in place, because burner does not fit the locking guides. But does it need to fit that snuggly to work well? No. The fact that the igniter does not work has nothing to do with snug fit or grounding, since 2 electrical wires go to the igniter. Think about it...... burner is coated in enamal. What is a perfect insulator? Enamal. Take igniter out of the burner. Get a file and chip away the enamal right where the igniter is located and contacts the burner on the rim there. It takes 5 minutes......voila it now sparks like a champ!
Is this burner as good as the origional. Nope it's a China knock off, but for $10 versus over $40 I am willing to compensate for that!
Stove burner
It works very well, it an exact replacement for the original. The problem is and it is not the fault of Amazon, originally these burners came with rubber gaskets. The gaskets allowed a much tighter seal to the stove top. But typically as with all things today, to save money they now say the seal is no longer necessary. But why? I don't see any difference in the burners.
Perfect Fit
Fits perfect, looks awesome, and works great.
Burner is simple to install. Very basic.
Product was exactly what the picture displayed.
